Frequently Asked Questions

Is virtual counseling completely private and safe?

Yes! We follow all HIPAA compliance standards in providing virtual counseling through secure platforms, including Doxy.me and SimplePractice.

Do I need to be home for my session?

Nope! You can have your sessions wherever you feel most comfortable and have a strong internet connection. Many clients will have sessions at work on their lunch break or even in their *parked* car if there isn’t a lot of privacy at home.

Does my insurance cover virtual counseling?

Almost all insurance companies cover teletherapy the same as in-person therapy. This varies between companies so if you are seeking virtual counseling we suggest that you to contact your insurance company by calling the phone number on the back of your card to get clarification.

How can I pay for my session/copay?

When assigned a therapist from NSC you will be given access to a patient portal where you will complete paperwork (all online!) and upload a credit or debit card that will automatically process copays after each session.

What is the intake process?

  • Once your information is received Paige will respond back to you about scheduling a consultation appointment or intake.

  • Your first appointment will be an hour long intake session where you will discuss what’s brought you into counseling and review the standard paperwork and processes.

  • After your initial intake you and your therapist will schedule weekly, bi-weekly or monthly sessions depending on your need and availability.
